May. 9th, 2007 02:57 pmSo I ran my car through kbb.com for a dealer trade-in. It has me listed at 24,700. My pay-off is 30,961.08 for a difference of 6261. Wow, I was expecting it to be somewhere around 10,000. I'm very tempted to get myself less car. Right now, I'm looking at payments of 566 for the next 68 months. I'm also paying 200 or so in gas a month. I get roughly 19 or so mpg, and I have to fill it up with premium. So checking out jeep.com, if I were to get a patriot for msrp assuming full blue book value on my car my payments would drop to 486 over 60 months. Err.. that's not including taxes and such, so lets say... 500. EPA estimates mileage at 25/28, and then I'd be paying 20 cents less for not requiring premium. So, all in all I'd spend oh, I'd guess a little over a hundred less per month... Yeah that's not quite worth it. But... Well, throw in some dealer incentives and just maybe... I'll keep an eye out.
